Tiny Mammoth

One of the very first children's brands that I loved when I moved Down Under was Baby PT. We bought a yellow long sleeve with mushrooms on it and I quickly searched and found out the name of the brand. The creator was of course Beci Orpin who at that time was also making a clothing line for adults called Princess Tina. Since then she has started a new brand called Tiny Mammoth. Her inspiration for the line comes from her own son Tyke's dreams. I love the style, prints and quirky characters so much. Check out these pics from the latest collection..hopefully we will see a new summer range coming soon!

American Outfitters

Loving the brand American Outfitters, nothing to do with America though, as most gorgeous children's brands it hails from Belgium... check it out!

First Descent

Caught a very addictive documentary called First Descent (2005) on One channel the other night. The film follows five of the world's best snowboarders as they are taken to some of Alaskas biggest mountains, for some amazing freeriding experiences. My whole body was aching for some fresh powder snow after that view... through the documentary you also get to see some rather amazing footage of the history of snowboarding and how it all started through the eyes of some of the most amazing boarders out there... Definitely worth watching if you get your hands on it!

Lille Figaro

I have long admired the danish online shop Lille Figaro. All the brands have been hand picked with special care, and you can tell the owner Rikke has chosen with her heart and only sells things she herself would like to buy. This is one of the first online shops I have come across that has a huge amount of soul and where it feels like you actually get to experiences a lot more than just good service. The handpicked interior accessories and the organic skincare is just one of the many perks you discover while you browse the gorgeous selection of children's clothes. Right now Lille Figaro is having a sale! Below is some of my favorite picks for a boy. There were so much to choose between that I had to stick to a few brands to fit it all in. This time around it is bobo choses, Popupshop, Soft Gallery and Gray Label. The girls selection is amazing so I will have to do a girls pick very soon! Head on over for a good bargain, and pssst, don't forget to check out the Goodies for Mom section while you are at it!

Oii Oii Oii!!

Right now you can get a whopping 50% off Mini Rodini, Acne, Hummel
Geggamoja, Katvig, etc, at Oii barnkläder. So get your shopping groove on,

New heights

Why not bring those soaring building plans with you this summer?
Tee by Electric Boy size 0-9.

Lego kitchen

It seems that quite a few things will benefit from a Scandinavian touch. Munchausen, a duo formed by Parisian designers Simon Pillard and Philippe Rosetti, took a bold approach with their own kitchen by venturing to IKEA for the basic kitchen island and then spending the next week covering it with more than 20,000 pieces by another Scandinavian brand, Lego

Bonds

Comfy, nice priced threads for baby, woman and man... Bonds are by far the brand that most Australians have in their wardrobe. Their latest Sloppy Joey style with nice soft roomies pants, and triblend mixes for extra softness in their tops, makes them a sure winner if your baby wants to live in comfort especially the first few months.

Eames chairs by Mike Perry

I think these Eames chairs done up by artist / designer Mike Perry totally rocks!!

Mike started his professional career in Philadelphia working for Urban Outfitters but ended up chasing a cute girl to New York where his work really took off. He does beautiful prints, band posters, whimsical sculptures, and pretty much anything else that strikes his fancy. He’s done work for Nike, VIPP, De’Longhi, and LOMO, all of it really amazing!

Check out an interview with Mike over on Grain Edit

Origami

Felt inspired and made a tee design tonight. Origami just never seize to amaze me. The geometrical angles and shapes and the craft that goes into it... a paper sculpture in all it's lightness.

Soft

Am smitten by Soft Gallery's opening movie on their website. So simple, so beautiful, so Soft!

Cold

It is cold in Australia today, not that Scandinavian coldness that I am used to, no the cold to the bones when I am inside kind of cold. I think we are living in a typical un-insolated house, so the heat goes out just as quick as it is pumped out through the gas heater. Think we have to take out the little heat bags tonight to warm up those beds. I miss the warm summer breeze right now, the warm wind on the skin... ahh! The thought will at least warm up my soul for now.

Tiny Revolutionary

Hailing from the US Tiny Revolutionary is a brand that focuses on being organic and sweatshop free. The tees are all incredible soft, and each tee has a nice little eco message on it. Tiny Revolutionary is available in Australia at BabysGotStyle.
