Moments | Saturday part 1

We were happy to see a new cafe/restaurant had opened this weekend. This old landmark house/church was once a great little hang out for families, with a play corner and a place were parents could venture to for a well deserved coffee break while their kids/toddlers. We actually would drive quite far to just come here for that reason, but then it shut down and since then several cafe owner have tried the same venue but without luck. They haven't been opened for more than 6 months or so and then they have gone down.

But then somebody thought of bringing back the kids element to it again and voila, a huge success! They have built a little playground attached to the cafe and there are fun wire sculptures of dinosaurs, giraffes and elephants around the venue. We loved the rustic feel to the cafe and the food was top notch. Great nutritional smoothies, a fun kids menu, and a wonderful selection for the big people too.

I can see us coming here often, for both lunches and afternoon snacks after school, and hopefully more families will do too. Happy to see more kids friendly alternatives growing around here.

visit The Schoolhouse.
